Emi Sakamoto

Emi Sakamoto is the founder and Executive Director of Poetry4Progress. She is a senior at Culver City High School, where she is an advocate for social justice. She currently presides as the 76th Chief Justice of California, the co-president of Speech and Debate, the CCUSD mental health curriculum advocate, the English Curriculum Director of One Step Ahead, and the treasurer of Vote 16 Culver City. In her free time, she enjoys performing poetry in classrooms across Los Angeles as a Get Lit Player.
